facing my own giants..

tonight I face my own giants…

i face the consequences of my actions…

…more like the consequences of the actions I dint do but should’ve done.

GIANT #1

i’ve been letting go of my studies, my priorities.

i’m making my own problems.

now I have to face the consequences.

i have not been blogging for compsci…

Wong move.

“With God, nothing is impossible.”

this is my last blog entry for compsci…

that is one giant down…

GIANT #2

I have been failing TrigMat…

It is not like me to let go of my studies…

But I gotta face the consequence…

I am yet to face this giant in the morning…

I need to perfect both my tests to pass…

Make up test and final exam…

I have a lot of studying to do…

But I will be ready…

With God by my side, nothing is impossible!

This movie, facing the giants, is just what I needed…

I thought all hope is gone!

This movie inspired me!

It moved me to finish all my blogs and it will move me to study all night for my TrigMat exam!

“I resolve to give God everything I've got, then I'll leave the results up to Him.”

the end where i begin

It has been fun!

So many realizations…

So many things to think about!

I learned how to learn…

I learned how to be responsible…

I learned that life is not easy.

*eats fruit-tella*

I learned to aim high!

I learned more about myself and others…

I learned to put God first…

CompSci class has been more than a class about technology to me…

It’s more personal than that.

the net is their crystal

internet addiction disorder…

disorder?

Aint that a wee bit too harsh?

One being so fascinated about the net is not different from someone fascinated with cars!

One uses the net for a long time…the other buys cars! Even though he can only drive one at a time!

to tell you the truth…

I don’t think anyone that stays more that the average time in front of the computer can already be considered as an internet addict…

Only those who jeopardize what is important in their life.

I wouldn’t care if a friend of mine is up all night playing internet games…

As long as nothing is jeopardized, it’s fine with me.

what will become of me...

Hack You!

Hacking!

A true sport!

Not for the week fingered!

I can’t believe you can enroll to be taught how to hack!

It’s just like Hogwarts!

Instead of wands, they got keyboards!

With their own set of magic hacking words!

“BUKASA YOURACOUNTA!”

Amazing!

What the hell is up with the world?

Do they not want the hacking to end?

Or are they there to counter the hacking?

I guess if you can’t beat ‘em…join ‘em?

Truly, hackers are scary!

I don’t want people messing with my personal life!

It might even lead to identity theft!

Use my credit card and all!

…once I get one that is!

But still…I don’t wanna see my multiply site touched by other people!

…specially my personal blogs!

FOR MY EYES ONLY!

Hackers do this as a way to pass time?

How about trying to get another hobby?

Maybe tetris?!

Don’t tell me you’re gonna hack the game and skip to the last level!

…is there a final level?

Whatever!

GET A LIFE!

(if there is a hacker out there that gets to read this…PEACE! I’m just jealous!)

Don’t go messing with people you don’t know!

They might just go…

HACK YOU!

(they are so awesome that they have their own version of the dirty finger!)

I see you on my pet-nav!

“hello…jack”

my favorite line from FireWall!

What caught my attention the most in this movie?

Robbing the bank? NO.

Fight scenes? NO.

Goodbye 20,000,000? NO.

Having net access in the middle of nowhere? KINDA.

Pet-nav? HELL YEAH!

How cool is that?

Placing a chip in the collar of your dog to know where it runs of too?

Smart!

Doing the same on humans?

Not smart?!

What can happen if this ever happens?

Goodbye privacy?

Hello safety?

Who ever thought that the lack of privacy can add safety…

I wouldn’t want to wear a collar!

And I don’t want people injecting a chip in me!

That’s why we have cellular phones!

So parents can ask us where we are!

Just don’t get kidnapped!

Kidnappers won’t let you text.

a chip for a brain

"David is 11 years old. He weighs 60 pounds. He is 4 feet, 6 inches tall. He has brown hair. His love is real. But he is not."

- Artificial Intelligence: AI (2001)

artificial intelligence...
the intelligence of machines...

wai-wai-wai-wai-wait!

hold up! hold up!

SAY WHAT?!

INTELLIGENCE?! ..OF MACHINES?!

funny!

har-har!

following orders ain't really intelligence!
machines are PROGRAMED to do things..
it doesn't work cause it wants to..
it does so cause it's MADE AND ORDERED TO DO SO!
intelligence...
also known as intellect...
our mind can REASON!
PLAN!
SOLVE PROBLEMS!
THINK ABSTRACTLY!
COMPREHEND IDEAS!
USE LANGUAGE!
and LEARN...
how many of those can a machine do?!
not all! that's for sure!
spych time!
*takes out his PSYCHOLOGY 7 BOOK by John W. Santrock*
GARNER's THEORY OF INTELLIGENCE
1. Verbal - think in words
think in words?
as if!
machines don't compose themeselves with words!
they process words..but make em to think!
2. Mathematical - carry out mathematical opperations
oh come one!
they already know the answer to begin with!
3. Spatial - think three dimentionally
no comment
4. Bodily-Kinesthetic - manipulate objects
simple things maybe..
but the big chnages??
they need real brains to do so!
5. Musical - sensitivity to pitch, melody, rhythm, and tone
how can they be sensitive?
maybe the ones they use in alarms...
they pick up sound waves but they don't really feel or hear the music!
6. Interpersonal - understand and interact with others
understand..no!
interact?!
it's kinda like..
"when i say HAKUNA you say MATATA!"
7. Intrapersonal - understand oneself
what is there to understand..?
8. Naturalist - observe patternes in nature
maybe they can..but can they actualy say why this is so?
humans and machines...
for certain...
humans have free will...
machines don't!
human learn from from their mistakes...
machines receive info not to do what humans did wrong!
humans use their emotions to decide...
machines...humans decide for machines!
"a machine can never replace a man!"
