a chip for a brain

"David is 11 years old. He weighs 60 pounds. He is 4 feet, 6 inches tall. He has brown hair. His love is real. But he is not."

- Artificial Intelligence: AI (2001)

artificial intelligence...
the intelligence of machines...

wai-wai-wai-wai-wait!

hold up! hold up!

SAY WHAT?!

INTELLIGENCE?! ..OF MACHINES?!

funny!

har-har!

following orders ain't really intelligence!
machines are PROGRAMED to do things..
it doesn't work cause it wants to..
it does so cause it's MADE AND ORDERED TO DO SO!
intelligence...
also known as intellect...
our mind can REASON!
PLAN!
SOLVE PROBLEMS!
THINK ABSTRACTLY!
COMPREHEND IDEAS!
USE LANGUAGE!
and LEARN...
how many of those can a machine do?!
not all! that's for sure!
spych time!
*takes out his PSYCHOLOGY 7 BOOK by John W. Santrock*
GARNER's THEORY OF INTELLIGENCE
1. Verbal - think in words
think in words?
as if!
machines don't compose themeselves with words!
they process words..but make em to think!
2. Mathematical - carry out mathematical opperations
oh come one!
they already know the answer to begin with!
3. Spatial - think three dimentionally
no comment
4. Bodily-Kinesthetic - manipulate objects
simple things maybe..
but the big chnages??
they need real brains to do so!
5. Musical - sensitivity to pitch, melody, rhythm, and tone
how can they be sensitive?
maybe the ones they use in alarms...
they pick up sound waves but they don't really feel or hear the music!
6. Interpersonal - understand and interact with others
understand..no!
interact?!
it's kinda like..
"when i say HAKUNA you say MATATA!"
7. Intrapersonal - understand oneself
what is there to understand..?
8. Naturalist - observe patternes in nature
maybe they can..but can they actualy say why this is so?
humans and machines...
for certain...
humans have free will...
machines don't!
human learn from from their mistakes...
machines receive info not to do what humans did wrong!
humans use their emotions to decide...
machines...humans decide for machines!
"a machine can never replace a man!"
